Silk is a fork of Kibana, an open source (Apache Licensed) browser-based analytics and search dashboard for Solr. Silk strives for ease of use while also being flexible and powerful.
Silk can be added on to your SearchStax® deployment. To open a support ticket with Measured Search®, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To enable Silk, click on the "Enable Silk" item in the deployment tools menu: You will be asked to choose which one of Solr servers should be used to enable Silk. Confirm and service will be started.
After you have successfully enabled Silk, you will see a new label you can click on. The Silk dashboard will be opened in a new tab.
Loading Silk can take a few seconds. While loading you should see the following information:
First time or until you chose the collection you would like to analyze, you will see a configuration screen.
In case of any trouble, you can always restart the Silk service. If you don't need the service anymore, disable it by clicking on "Disable Silk". The service will be stopped and disabled.
