We’re pleased to announce that Apache Solr Versions 7.1.0 and 5.5.5 are now available on all SearchStax plans. Both of these versions include security fixes for the recent zero-day exploit (CVE-2017-12629). For those looking to create a new Solr 7.1.0 or 5.5.5 plan, you can do so by creating a new SearchStax account here OR by creating a new deployment in your existing account.

Solr 7.1.0 new features/enhancements include:

  • Critical security fix: Fix for zero-day exploit (CVE-2017-12629).
  • Auto-scaling
  • New JSON based Query DSL
  • Multiple other optimizations and bug fixes

 

Solr 5.5.5 new features/enhancements include:

  • Critical security fix: Fix for zero-day exploit (CVE-2017-12629).
  • Fix for in secure inter-node communication
